1. Introduction

Welcome to Sunify. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services and products. By engaging with our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

  • Company: Sunify (a division of CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd)
  • Customer: Any individual or business engaging with Sunify for services or products.
  • Services: Solar PV installation, battery storage solutions, maintenance, and other related services provided by Sunify.
  • Products: Solar panels, battery storage systems, and other related equipment supplied by Sunify.

3. Services

3.1 Solar PV Installation

  • Sunify will install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at the Customer’s property as per the agreed specifications.
  • The installation will comply with the standards set by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

3.2 Battery Storage Solutions

  • Sunify provides battery storage solutions that integrate with the Customer’s solar PV system.
  • Installation and maintenance of battery storage systems will follow industry standards and safety regulations.

3.3 Maintenance and Support

  • Sunify offers maintenance services to ensure the efficient operation of solar PV systems and battery storage solutions.
  • Support services are available during business hours for any issues related to the installed systems.

4. Customer Obligations

  • The Customer must provide accurate information regarding their property and energy usage to enable Sunify to design an appropriate system.
  • The Customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions or consents for the installation, including from landlords or local authorities.
  • The Customer must ensure that the installation site is safe and accessible for Sunify’s installation team.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be outlined in the contract agreed upon by Sunify and the Customer.
  • A deposit may be required upon signing the contract, with the balance payable upon completion of the installation.
  • In the event of late payment, Sunify reserves the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount at the prevailing statutory rate.

6. Warranty and Liability

  • Sunify provides a 2-year insurance-backed warranty through the Home Insulation & Energy Systems Contractors Scheme (HIES), covering both products and installation workmanship.
  • All products installed come with independent manufacturers’ warranties.
  • Sunify’s liability is limited to the value of the contract. Sunify is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.

7. Compliance with MCS Requirements

  • Sunify is committed to complying with the standards and guidelines set by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
  • All installations will be carried out by MCS certified installers.
  • The Customer will receive an MCS certificate upon completion of the installation, which may be required to claim government incentives such as the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) or Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).

8. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the contract if the other party breaches any material term of the contract and fails to remedy the breach within 30 days of receiving written notice.
  • Sunify may terminate the contract if the Customer fails to make any due payment within 30 days of the due date.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Company Information

10.1 Company Name and Trading Name

Sunify is a trading name of CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd. All contracts, agreements, and communications will be conducted under the official company name, CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd.

10.2 Certifications

CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd holds all relevant certifications required for the provision of our services, including:

  • NICEIC Certification: CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd is registered with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC), ensuring that all electrical work meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • MCS Certification: CW Electrical (Bristol) Ltd is certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), which guarantees that our solar PV installations comply with industry standards and are eligible for government incentives such as the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) and Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).

10.3 Regulatory Compliance

All installations and services provided under the trading name Sunify will adhere to the standards and regulations set forth by the NICEIC and MCS. Customers can be assured of the quality and compliance of our work, backed by these authoritative bodies.
